With over 20 years of experience, which includes for profit and nonprofit administration and management, Bernadette is committed to the implementation and development of best business practices, innovative solutions, and results driven management strategies. She serves as a change management leader for policies, procedures and organizational structure.

Bernadette has helped mission-driven organizations increase their impact and navigate workplace complexities and adept at organizational management and process efficiency. Her experience includes operations management, project management, finance management, strategic planning support, human resources management, contracts and compliance, and grants management support.

Background and Affiliations

As a consultant at McBrenn Business Associates, Bernadette was committed to fostering collaborative partnerships to address multifaceted business needs. In this role, she helped mission-driven organizations increase their impact and navigate workplace complexities. She is adept at organizational management and streamlining processes for efficiency and accountability.

Prior to McBrenn Business Associates, Bernadette was the Director of Operations for Grantmaker’s for Children, Youth and Families (GCYF) – a nonprofit with a mission to increase the effectiveness and capacity of grantmakers to improve the well-being of and opportunities for childrenyouth and families. In her position at GCYF, she provided operations management, project management, finance management, strategic planning support, human resources management, contracts and compliance, grants management support and helped sustain program and membership management initiatives.

Bernadette’s other nonprofit experiences includes work promoting better outcomes for disadvantaged populations, advocating for marginalized youth, and programs designed to improve the lives of women and girls in developing countries to stimulate social and economic change.

Bernadette graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. In her spare time, Bernadette enjoys traveling, quality time with family and friends, reading, and has a super sweet tooth for cheesecake!
