CRM Assessment and Support at a Leading Social Services Organization

The Story

As a social services nonprofit in South Carolina was transitioning to a new fundraising and program model, it became clear that their CRM and revenue processing systems lacked critical functionality to effectively identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors. They were struggling to adapt their fundraising and financial operations to match a new strategy for constituent engagement, including sharing their constituent data internally and efficiently processing and attributing workplace contributions.

Through a robust Assessment project, Build helped frame short, mid, and long-term improvement projects that aligned with their newly developed strategic plan. While we did recommend several CRM-related improvements, we also encouraged them to focus on improvements that were technology agnostic, like ensuring that leadership was aligned on vision and goals and that the organization was appropriately staffed to achieve those goals.
