Digital Engagement Systems Evaluation for Global Hunger-Relief Nonprofit

The Story

Staff at a global hunger-relief nonprofit were questioning the effectiveness of their digital engagement system, Luminate Online (LO). While they did use Raiser’s Edge NXT for basic email needs, neither of these systems provided a robust digital engagement experience for their staff and supporters.

Build conducted an Assessment wherein we gathered the organization’s digital engagement requirements and then analyzed the extent to which their current systems could meet those requirements without cumbersome workarounds and additional plugins. Our participatory approach helped shape a shared understanding amongst staff of the challenges and opportunities with LO and other digital engagement tools and created vital buy-in for our ultimate recommendation to replace LO. While the multi-month selection process was underway, Build worked with the organization to make a few key functional and process improvements to LO and other solutions to create a better overall user experience.
