A new reporting tool to drive data-informed decisions

The Story

The data and reporting needs of a pediatric healthcare organization were not being met by their current systems and staff. Despite their previous investments in some high-quality information systems and the hiring of data and reporting experts, there was still staff frustration at the lack of the quality or timeliness of the business intelligence (BI) reports certain departments were receiving. The organization understood that in addition to not knowing which BI tools they should keep, they were having resource allocation challenges that were hindering operational efficiency.

Build conducted an assessment to evaluate their reporting ecosystem and how staff were resourced. Our recommendation was that they leverage one of their most advanced tools, train key reporting staff on how to use it, and create a shared data governance culture to increase the capacity of all departments to maximize the value of their reporting ecosystem and the shared data.
