Sarah joined Build after nearly a decade working with non-profit museums, zoos, and aquariums. Working primarily as a CRM subject matter expert in the development and membership operations spaces, she understands the important role technology plays in overall institutional strategy and success. Her background includes CRM implementation, leading collaborative technology projects, and change management.

Background and Affiliations

Sarah joins Build from the California Academy of Sciences’ Development Department where she held a management role on the operations team. During her time there, she served as the fundraising functional lead during a data transition and CRM implementation period. Her work primarily focused on overall CRM management, navigating institutional needs and technology challenges around fundraising data, and generating support and trust in technology tools.

Prior to her time with the Academy, Sarah developed her CRM experience and interest at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City in their Membership Department. Sarah began her commitment to nonprofits through volunteer positions and internships with Friends of the National Zoo and San Diego Zoo Global.

Experience

Sarah’s passion and support of nonprofit attractions have allowed her to gain experience and understanding in many of areas of operation. A desire to combine this experience with her interpersonal skills, positive communication style, and interest in technology lead her to Build where she can expand her support to an array of nonprofit clients.
